   30 Years of Rebecca's

Rebecca's has been part of Port Fairy for over 30 years. Starting out in an old milk bar at number 72 Sackville st, Rebecca's was the first to bring barista coffee to the town. Rebecca honed her love of coffee from her years living in Lygon St Brunswick and Carlton, while the love of fresh local produce was born from her mother Tricia's ability to make delightful meals from any collection of ingredients. The Italian influence of family and food was enhanced through visits to Italy which also added Gelato to the expanding offering. Rebecca's idea to bring the magic of food made from scratch was then enabled by her father Trevor who added the old Butcher shop, which later became the full café to now ice-cream parlour. Recent changes resulting in Covid's impact have forced the Cafe to run as take away only with the ice cream shop taking over the space in which the cafe once was, however, this proved to be a better system for the team. Trevor also instilled a love for the ocean, early morning swims whatever the weather and early coffee to get the day going. To this day the café is the first to open in town and often the last coffee you can get.

Rebecca's is reflective of the wonderful local personalities who bring their skills behind the counter to bring the food to life in the form of amazing cakes, biscuits and take home backs for locals and tourists alike. The family behind the business have enabled its longevity and ensured it remained true to the roots of fresh, local and taste bud delight.
